Product Description
The ASUS RT-BE92U is a high-performance BE9700 tri-band WiFi 7 gaming and extendable mesh router engineered for demanding smart homes, enthusiast gaming stations, professional creative studios, and multi-gigabit fiber broadband environments. Finished in an upright matte black chassis with angular thermal ventilation grilles and versatile wall-mounting capability, the router is equipped with four external adjustable high-gain antennas and an internal antenna system powered by high-power front-end modules. This antenna configuration eliminates directional blind spots and delivers up to 2,750 square feet of signal coverage.
At the core of the system is a 2.0 GHz 64-bit quad-core processor paired with 1GB of high-speed DDR4 RAM and 256MB of flash storage. This processing foundation manages dense multi-client traffic queues, complex firewall rules, and active encryption tunnels without packet loss. Operating on the latest IEEE 802.11be WiFi 7 standard across the 2.4 GHz, 5.0 GHz, and 6.0 GHz frequency bands, the RT-BE92U delivers aggregated wireless speeds up to 9700 Mbps—comprising 5764 Mbps on the 6 GHz band, 2882 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, and 1032 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. WiFi 7 enhancements include Multi-Link Operation (MLO) to aggregate and switch across bands simultaneously, 4096-QAM (4K-QAM) to increase data packing density by 20%, and ultrawide 320 MHz channel support on the clear 6 GHz band. These features deliver low-latency performance essential for 8K video streaming, competitive HDR gaming, and real-time AI cloud interactions.
Wired connectivity is built for high-speed fiber broadband and local network transfers. The router features a flexible 10 Gbps WAN/LAN port and a 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port supporting Dual WAN failover and link aggregation, complemented by three dedicated 2.5 Gbps Ethernet LAN ports for wired PCs, consoles, and NAS arrays. As an extendable router, it integrates ASUS Smart AiMesh technology, allowing flexible wired 10G or 2.5G Ethernet backhauls or wireless backhauls with compatible ASUS routers. A high-speed USB 3.2 Gen 1 port provides support for automated 4G/5G mobile phone tethering during ISP outages, as well as local cloud file storage via Samba and FTP servers. Five flexible operating modes—Wireless Router, AiMesh Node, Access Point, Media Bridge, and Range Extender—provide broad network deployment options.
Enterprise-grade network security is anchored by ASUS AiProtection Pro powered by Trend Micro, delivering lifetime subscription-free commercial protection featuring Two-Way IPS, malicious website blocking, and infected device isolation. Smart Home Master features allow administrators to separate up to 3 dedicated SSIDs for IoT ecosystems, children's profiles, and VPN-routed subnets, alongside support for up to 6 isolated guest networks. Privacy is reinforced by DNS-over-TLS (DoT) encryption, ASUS Instant Guard mobile VPN tunnels, and extensive Multi-VPN routing via VPN Fusion for WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IPSec protocols. Complete with age-tiered parental controls, Adaptive QoS traffic prioritization, NAT passthrough, and seamless mobile management via the ASUS Router App and ASUSWRT web portal, the ASUS RT-BE92U delivers a future-proof, multi-gigabit tri-band WiFi 7 foundation backed by ASUS's 3-year warranty.
