The NexaKey NS6000S-4P2U is a commercial-grade 4-port 100M unmanaged Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch engineered to provide dependable data transmission and centralized power distribution across IP surveillance systems, wireless access point deployments, VoIP phone installations, and small-to-medium enterprise networks. Built within a compact, heat-dissipating Black metal enclosure, it offers a plug-and-play network backbone that simplifies field cabling by delivering both power and high-speed data over a single Category 5e or Category 6 twisted-pair Ethernet cable.
The switch is configured with 6 physical 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports, comprising 4 dedicated PoE downlink ports alongside 2 independent uplink ports. The dual uplink architecture enables simultaneous direct connectivity to a Network Video Recorder (NVR) and an external gateway router or core switch without occupying any of the power-delivering ports. Compliant with IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at standards, the NS6000S-4P2U automatically detects connected PoE loads, delivering up to 30W of power on individual ports with an overall system power budget of 65W/120W. This capacity accommodates high-draw PTZ cameras, infrared night-vision bullet cameras, and long-range wireless APs without risk of power starvation.
For specialized CCTV installations across large premises, the NS6000S-4P2U features an extended transmission mode that increases data and power delivery reach up to 250 meters over standard copper cabling. Integrated one-key VLAN isolation isolates downlink ports from one another while preserving communication with the uplink interfaces, mitigating broadcast storms, network loop interference, and unauthorized inter-device data leakage.
