A group of engineers in Portland's Silicon Forest believed that information sharing could be improved in 1986. Based on this conviction, InFocus developed innovative methods for sharing knowledge and collaborating beyond overhead projection, fusing digital technology with light to enhance how and what we can display in various potent ways. It was InFocus who first created the digital projector. Many more firsts helped to build the multi-billion dollar display industry. One of them is the first DLP projector, the first projector that weighed less than five pounds, the first ultra-thin projection television, the first interactive whiteboard with touch technology, and many more.
