Product Description
The Seagate One Touch Hub 12TB (STLC12000400) is a high-capacity external desktop hard drive designed for creative professionals, video editors, photographers, digital archivists, and power users managing extensive multi-terabyte libraries. Enclosed in an understated matte black chassis with refined brushed accents, the drive functions as a centralized desktop workstation hub. Its vertical desktop footprint integrates thermal airflow vents to ensure passive cooling and continuous acoustic dampening during prolonged, heavy data transfer sessions.
Beneath the chassis, the system features an enterprise-grade 3.5-inch mechanical drive operating at 7200 RPM, connected to the host system through a high-bandwidth USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) interface capable of up to 5 Gbps bus speeds. The 12TB capacity provides ample space to consolidate sprawling 4K and 8K video timelines, RAW photo collections, large system images, and complex digital archives. Setting the One Touch Hub apart is its front-facing connectivity: dual high-speed ports—one USB-C and one USB-A—positioned conveniently on the face of the drive. These ports allow users to connect external flash drives, card readers, or secondary peripherals directly to the computer while simultaneously charging smartphones, cameras, and mobile gear even when the host PC is powered off.
Security and data integrity are handled through password protection and hardware-based encryption, safeguarding sensitive files against unauthorized access if the drive is moved or disconnected. The included Seagate Toolkit backup suite provides automated, schedule-driven file mirroring, folder sync, and one-click comprehensive backups. The drive provides plug-and-play operation across both Windows and macOS operating systems, integrating seamlessly into existing file management setups without reformatting requirements (Time Machine integration supported via macOS file system reformatting).
Data reliability is further reinforced by Seagate Rescue Data Recovery Services, providing professional lab-based data recovery coverage against unexpected drive failures, accidental damage, or environmental exposure. Backed by an external 18W power adapter, an included 18-inch USB 3.0 connection cable, and a 3-year Seagate manufacturer warranty, the Seagate One Touch Hub 12TB delivers an all-in-one storage, charging, and backup centerpiece for modern professional desks.
