Acer arrived at CES 2023 with an extensive lineup of brand-new gaming laptops and a few displays that should appeal to both fans of massive gaming monitors and those looking for smaller, more affordable panels.
Acer introduced two new models under its Nitro line of gaming laptops: the Nitro 16 and Nitro 17.
The most recent 13th-generation Intel Core processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs are both included in both devices, along with storage options up to 2 TB and RAM configurations up to 32 GB of DDR5 4800 memory.
Additionally, each laptop has new fan layouts and a display refresh rate of up to 165 Hz to keep the devices cool even in the hottest environments.
The starting price for the Acer Nitro 16 is $1,199.99, while the starting price for the Acer Nitro 17 is $1,249.99.
In May 2023, both units are anticipated to begin shipping to customers.
Acer brought a wide range of brand-new gaming laptops to CES 2023, along with a few displays that should appeal to both gamers who prefer big gaming monitors and those who prefer smaller, more affordable panels.

While the aforementioned Nitro laptops are made to be cost-effective for mid-market gamers, Acer's Predator lineup will once again push the limits of high-end gaming at CES 2023.
For optimum performance, the Predator Helios 16 and Helios 18 laptops can be equipped with a 13th-generation Intel Core i9 processor and an Nvidia RTX 4080 processor.
A PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD in RAID 0 is used to provide the 2TB of maximum storage, providing some of the fastest storage available. Memory configurations are now limited to 32GB of DDR-5 4800 RAM.
The two laptops' displays are where they diverge the most.
A WQXGA (2560 x 1600) panel running at 165 Hz or 240 Hz or a Mini LED panel pushing the number to 250 Hz are both options for the Helios 16.
The Helios 18 offers a wider range of display options, including its own 250 Hz Mini LED display, WQXGA (2560*1600) panels at 165 Hz or 240 Hz, and WUXGA (1920 x 1200) panels at 165 Hz.
Acer's exclusive dual custom-engineered 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D metal fans and vector heat pipes will keep all of that powerful hardware cool.
With such cutting-edge technology, neither model will be inexpensive.
The Helios 16 is anticipated to have an entry price of $1,649.99, while the Helios 18 will increase it to $1,699.
The shipping of both models is anticipated to start in February.
Acer also unveiled a pair of OLED Predator gaming displays with quite different configurations for gamers who are more interested in their home battlestation than their on-the-go gaming prowess.
The enormous new Predator X45 gaming display is shown above.
This device has an unusually large 45-inch OLED panel with a 3440x1440 resolution and an 800R curvature.
In addition to DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 for broad compatibility, the opulent display supports 98.5 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
For maximum speed and responsiveness, it also has a 240 Hz refresh rate and a 0.01 ms response time.
The 27-inch Predator X27U includes a more competition-focused size and resolution (2560x1440), but still supports the same refresh rates, response times, and color gamut mentioned above.
Both models also feature built-in KVM switches, allowing users to quickly swap between two PCs, or between PC and console gaming. The Predator X45 is expected to reach consumers some time in Q2 2023 at a price of $1,699, while the X27U will launch during the same quarter at $1,099.
The gaming monitors make their debut in a crowded market, with this year's CES hosting major gaming monitor releases from Samsung and others.
