Asus is a multinational Taiwanese computer and phone hardware and electronics company. Desktop computers, laptops, netbooks, mobile phones, networking equipment, monitors, wireless routers, projectors, motherboards, graphics cards, optical storage, multimedia products, peripherals, wearables, servers, workstations, and tablet PCs are among its products. As of January 2021, Asus was the world's fifth-largest PC vendor by unit sales. In 2007, Asus announced the release of a BD-ROM/DVD writer PC drive, indicating support for Blu-ray. Asus spun off Pegatron Corp. on June 1, 2010.

Asus had manufacturing facilities in Taiwan, mainland China (Suzhou, Chongqing), Mexico (Ciudad Juárez), and the Czech Republic as of 2009. (Ostrava). The Asus Hi-Tech Park in Suzhou is 540,000 square meters (5,800,000 sq ft). Asus also released several Android-based smartphones, mostly with Intel rather than ARM processors and frequently with two SIM card slots. Asus is mighty in major mobile markets such as India, China, and other Asian countries. Before the ZenFone line, Asus released feature phones such as the Asus v70 and Windows Mobile smartphones in the mid-2000s.
